Payment

How much is to be paid? What must the other party provide to get paid? What is the timing of payment? Do not enter into open-ended or hourly contracts unless they have a guaranteed maximum or a "not to exceed" amount.

Pitfalls

A payment based on a percentage or an amount that cannot be readily calculated under the contract or agreement could result in the cost to The University of Western Australia being much greater than expected and it may not be in your budget. Do not agree to pay for goods or services until after receipt. It is easier to keep your money then get it back.
