7. Private Staff Consultancies

7.1  Staff members wishing to undertake private work in accordance with the permission granted to them in their standard employment contract must consult the Univerity's General Staff Consultancy Policy, University's Academic Staff Consultancy Policy.

7.2  When staff do private work, the work, together with its risks, costs and rewards is wholly that of the staff member – subject to any other agreement with the University or the relevant head of Department. The Legal Services Office is not able to advise staff members on personal matters except so far as that matter relates to the staff member's employment at the University.
